Scratching Post Chalet - 5 Bdrm HT + Loft HT - Big White

Scratching Post is located in the White Forest area, of Moonshine Crescent. It is the right hand portion of a duplex with a garage for 2 cars and 3 off street parking. The snow cats groom the ski back right across the road from the chalet, which leads to the Village Way run down to Happy Valley and the gondola. To get to the village it is a 10 minute walk up the ski run. Once inside the property you are captivated by the wood posts and accents, which make this home a light, airy place to relax after a hard day on the slopes.

From the entrance hall to the right is a Games Room/bedroom. In the right hand corner of the room there are a set of single bunks. At the other end of the room there is a 32" TV with DVD player, Foosball and pool table. There is a high wooden table with stools, two leather cubes and two high back stools for people to sit and watch a film or to just hang out and play games after a hard day on the slopes. Large picture windows make the room nice and light and have views of the ski access and the chalets in the same crescent. Also, on this entrance level there is a boot drying room, shared bathroom with shower over tub and wash basin and a 2nd bedroom with single bunks. The access to the garage is on this level, which has a Power Gym and Ping Pong Table inside. A beautiful staircase with wooden posts lead you up to the living, dining, kitchen and further bedroom area. As you get to the top of the stairs you are captivated by the amount of light in the property that comes into the chalet, enhanced by the light wood that creates the ambiance of the chalet. A great fully equipped kitchen is just waiting for the "chef" to go in and prepare dinner! All cupboards are made of pine and are complemented by the dark granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. There is a large fridge with ice-maker and freezer drawer below. Looking from the kitchen there is the dining area, where there is a wooden dining table, which can be expanded to seat 10. There are 7 wooden chairs at the table and there are 4 extra foldaway chairs if required. Directly in front of the kitchen area is the lounge, which is a great room for relaxing in the comfy sofas and enjoy excellent views of the gondola and ski access.

A doorway from the living room leads onto a long deck, which has an 8 person hot tub, BBQ and the views are of the ski access and gondola. A hallway leads down to two further bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the second has a king bed, closet and doors that lead to a private deck. Guests have a shared bathroom on this floor complete with wash basin and shower over tub. Another set of beautiful stairs take you up to the loft area where you will find a double sofa couch, 50" TV and DVD player along with a home entertainment system. Double doors lead into the amazing master bedroom. The king bed has been hand crafted and is in keeping with the wood accents in the chalet. The bedroom has a gas fire and a huge walk in closet. There is an en-suite bathroom with steam shower, separate tub, double wash basins.
