What's New For 2011/12

New High Speed Quad Chairlift Rose Bowl - The much-anticipated new Rose Bowl high speed quad chairlift delivers guests to the top of Chair 4 in just over five minutes. The new side-load Doppelmayr lift transports 2,400 skiers per hour and alleviates density on the Cinch Express Lift (Chair 8) and Centennial Express Lift (Chair 6), providing more miles during your ski day..

Max 3 Coaching Clinics - Beaver Creek’s Adult Ski and Snowboard School offers new alpine custom coaching sessions geared towards skiers seeking to better navigate all kinds of mountain terrain. Lessons are offered all season from 12:45 to 3:45 p.m. each day only to strong intermediate to advanced alpine skiers with a maximum of three per group.

New Talons Challenge for Kids Rounds Out Talons Weekend - Beaver Creek’s signature Talon’s Challenge event held March 3, 2012 tackles nearly 24,000 vertical and showcases the mountain’s toughest 13 black and double-black diamond runs in one day. Participants earn a spot on the electronic wall of fame at Red Tail Camp. Now kids can partake with the news Kids Talons Challenge March 4, 2012.

EpicMix. Now with Photo - Starting mid-December, guests will be able to take their own photos or get their photos taken and combine them with their vertical feet, digital pins and memories of other special moments of their visit through the new EpicMix platform. Additionally EpicMix is expanding its program to nearly all guests this year through an upgrade to "smart" RF-enabled lift tickets.

New Nordic Adventures - Known for its scenic 32km dedicated Nordic and Snowshoe track located at the top of Strawberry Park, Beaver Creek’s Nordic Center is offering three new products for 2011-2012. The new Snowshoe Fit Tours will focus on fitness and workouts at 10,000 feet. Families with kids ages 6 and up can enjoy new Guided Family Nature Tours in McCoy Park, exposing younger generations to the beauty of surrounding mountain peaks and also teaching them a fun, new outdoor sport. Finally the new 2011-2012 Nordic Adventure Pass is a three-day discounted pass that allows enthusiasts to mix and match cross country skiing, telemarking, nature snowshoe tours and the new Snowshoe Fit Tours.

Year after year, Beaver Creek Resort successfully delivers a calendar of events and activities to keep even it youngest visitors entertained throughout the duration of the winter season.

	Audi Birds of Prey World Cup
	Scheduled for the weekend of December 4, 2009, Beaver Creek Resort is proud to host the Audi Birds of Prey race. Known as a one of the top five courses on the planet, both spectators and competitors are certain to be left breathless.

	Beano’s Cabin
	After boarding a snowcat-pulled sleigh through the frosty winter’s air, guests will arrive at a romantic log-constructed restaurant. Having received the AAA Four Diamond Award, Beano’s Cabin delivers the ultimate culinary experience. Once guests are seated fireside, five courses are brilliantly featured, all of which bring a fresh flavor to the table.

	Bon Appetit Culinary and Wine Focus
	Beaver Creek Resort, Bon Appetit Magazine and world renowned Chefs come together to host a weekend of culinary exploration. From an Iron-Chef inspired challenge to a ski race featuring celebrity chefs, this event is a must for any foodie.

	Chocolate Chip Cookie Competition
	A delicious way to kick off the new season at Beaver Creek Resort! Slated for Opening Day, this exciting event features five finalists vying for the coveted title of World’s Best Chocolate Chip Cookie. Guests are encouraged to participate by sampling each recipe and then voting for their favorite.

	Dog Sledding
	This tour, lasting two hours in length and covering approximately seven miles in distance, is offered twice daily and gives Beaver Creek visitors a unique means to viewing the impressive landscape west of the resort.

	Fly Fishing
	This year-round guided activity, provided by Gore Creek Flyfisherman, offers both half and full day excursions. Catering to all ages and skill levels, guests are certain to experience a memorable day of fly fishing.

	Ice Skating
	The Black Family Ice Rink, situated in the heart of the village, offers endless entertainment to Beaver Creek visitors. From a leisurely hand-in-hand spin around the icy surface to a friendly game of hockey, ice skating provides enjoyment for the entire family. Rentals are available on location.

	Ski Racing
	Race World offers NASTAR racing each day beginning at 11am. The national handicap is applied and all skiers receive a medal. Private races, clinics and Pay to Race are also available at Beaver Creek Resort.

	Small World Playschool
	Appropriate for children aged two months to six years, Small World Playschool offers three different programs catering to specific age groups. Parents are asked to provide typical childcare necessities as well as a pair of shoes for indoor play. For children over 15 months, hot lunch and two snacks are also included.
