This chalet is for you if you love massive overdoses of natural light, you are a foodie and love skiing or boarding. Drive straight up to the residence, under the gondola and into the double garage. As you walk into the house your eyes are immediately drawn to the three-story-high floor to ceiling windows that surround the open-plan kitchen, living and dining area and provide views of the Monashee Mountains. The living areas are on the main level (no stairs to conquer with your groceries), along with a half bathroom. The kitchen has a fully automated espresso/coffee machine, dual zone wine fridge, high-end wine and champagne glasses, a gas stove with breakfast bar and dining table, and quality stainless steel appliances. The area has a solid wood 8-seater dining table next to an electric fireplace, perfect for dinners and ski debriefs with friends. Furnished with black leather sofas, you can step from the living room onto a large balcony with a BBQ and watch the Gondola coming up from Happy Valley Day Lodge.

Moving upstairs, the top level of the house is where you’ll find the luxurious master bedroom with a private deck. This bedroom is the ultimate place to wind down and relax after a long day, or to curl up with a good book. A black circular leather king bed is the centrepiece of the room, from where you have expansive vistas of the mountains, as well as looking down into the living area through a one-way glass wall. The spacious en-suite bathroom has been fitted with new steam shower, complete with LED lighting, to warm you up after a long day on the slopes. The room also has a walk-in-robe to store all your luggage out of sight.

The lower level of the house has 2 large bedrooms, a den, full bathroom and laundry. The first bedroom as you walk down the stairs has a single double bunk, while the other has a queen bed. The den has no windows and has been fitted out as a media room, with a 75-inch smart TV and a sofa bed, which makes a 4th bedroom area. The hot tub and deck are accessible through sliding doors from both downstairs rooms. There is a two-way bathroom, with doors allowing entry from both the passage and the queen bedroom. The bathroom has plenty of room to move, with a full length tub below a shower. You’ll find the laundry area, with new energy efficient washer and dryer, tucked away between the bathroom and queen bedroom. It is conveniently accessible from both the bathroom and queen bedroom.

The residence started substantial renovations in 2014/2015 including new hardwood floors, new bedroom furniture and beds downstairs, new mattresses, new leather couches, new sectional carpets, and hardwired internet connections throughout. Renovations continued in 2015/2016 with installation of centralized humidifier, the addition of three smart 4K TVs, new barbecue, and a top of the line food processor. This house is so much fun we cannot be held responsible if you fail to go out skiing!
Ski out access is via the road to Happy Valley Lodge, it is a 5 minute walk or can be skied if snow covered. To ski back make your way down the Happy Valley Way to Happy Valley, just after the ski bridge over the road take a sharp right and you will see The Edge chalets on your left.
