About Red Mountain Resort

Big White VillageNamed one of the Top 10 Resorts in North America, Red Mountain is considered one of the hidden gems of Canadian ski destinations. The excellent snow conditions, beautiful natural scenery and remarkably short lift lines have made this one of the most sought after winter resorts.

Ranked among The Best In Canada by Ski Canada Magazine, Red Mountain features some of the best powder, trees and steeps you will ever ride. Find out what all the talk is about in Red's Silverlode and Paradise areas which offer plenty of wide open groomers for riders of all levels.

Sold in 2004, Red Mountain Resort now continues to expand with the goal of 1,400 on mountain properties and up to 70,000 sq ft of commercial space. This expansion is planned to take place over the next 10 – 15 years and will ensure the resort can provide travellers with the entertainment and amenities required of a world class ski resort.

Red Mountain Activities

After hitting the slopes be sure to check out the many activities that Red Mountain has to offer. Experience the ultimate in fresh tracks and book a flight to go Heli-Skiing, or if you are afraid of heights but still want that untouched powder go Cat-Skiing instead. If your here during the summer months Mountain Biking is a must try activity. You’ll never run out of great things to do at Red Mountain Resort.

Backcountry Tours Backcountry Tours
Red Mountain Resort features five different backcountry peaks which are accessible from the resort's boundary. Guided tours are highly recommended over venturing out on your own and are available in the resort. If you choose to travel on your own, please keep in mind that backcountry travelers are solely responsible for their own safety.
 

Cross Country Skiing Cross Country Skiing
As partners with the Blackjack Cross Country Club, Red Mountain Resort is able to offer more then 30 km of cross country ski trails which range from beginner to expert. Professionally groomed, these trails offer a great way to enjoy the local scenery.
 

Cat-Skiing Cat-Skiing
Travel just 10 short minutes from Red Mountain Resort and let Big Red Cats - Cat Skiing Adventures take you to new heights where you can enjoy untracked powder skiing and all day excursions. Don't think your riding ability is up to the challenge? Big red Cats offers programs for intermediate, advanced and expert skiers and riders.
 

Golfing Golfing
If you find yourself here during the warm summer months There is nothing like playing a great game of golf while enjoying the majestic surrounding mountains. Enjoy one of the six surrounding golf courses with an afternoon of 9 or 18 holes.
 

Heli-Skiing Heli-Skiing
This is a great way to see the mountains from new heights as well as get access to the best untracked powder around.
 

Hiking Hiking
There are plenty of hiking trails throughout the Rossland Range. Choose the perfect terrain for your ability from easy meadow loops to sheer hikes that reach the top of mountain summits One hike not to miss is the Old Glory trail which will take you through lush mountain forests that are common to the interior rainforest of BC.
 

Kokanee Spring Fest Kokanee Spring Fest
Enjoy all sorts of events such as races, scavenger hunts, poker run, kids events and the always popular slush cup. Don't forget, the opening day of the Spring Fest is a Ski Free day! Just show up and get a lift ticket for the day.
 

Kids Programs Kids Programs
Kids love to be outside in the snow and the certified instructors at Red Mountain resort will teach your kids how to ski and snowboard while having fun and focusing on safety. The Red Kids programs offer group lessons, private instruction and all inclusive packages.
 

Snowmobiling Snowmobiling
The Kootenay Mountains offers of the best terrain for snowmobiling in BC. Explore the trails around Rossland or enjoy take an snowmobile tour to one of many interesting destinations such as to the top of Granite Mountain. There are snowmobiling options to suit every ability level. Make sure to reserve a spot early as tours book up fast.
 

Terrain Park Terrain Park
The Red Mountain Terrain Park features a variety of rails including kinks, rainbows, flat downs, boxes, a battleship, an S-rail, and street rails. This year there are plenty of new jumps as well as an XL kicker will be in place this season. Red Park is also home to one of Canada’s largest Wall Rides. This year make sure to stop by the brand new border-cross and skier-cross course.
