Situated just 22 km (12 miles) northeast of Vernon, BC, in the breathtaking Okanagan Valley, Silver Star is certain to leave a lasting impression. On the slopes, visitors are certain to be impressed by the awesome display of vertical descent. 12 lifts deliver an impressive 14,000 skiers and riders to the 115 immaculately groomed trails each hour, ensuring time is spent where it matters most. Whether novice or professional, visitors are certain to find the appropriate run to suit their needs; beginners will appreciate the wide open spaces that can be found in Vance Creek, while Putnam Creek offers challenging black diamond runs to maneuver down suitable for the more advanced. For those looking to freestyle, TELUS Park, a progressive terrain park, provides Silver Star visitors with the flexibility to learn at their own pace. Complete with an aerial training site, regular half pipe and all the table tops, rails and spines one can handle, TELUS Park is a must-do for any terrain park enthusiast.
Off the slopes, Adventure Park provides further mountain excitement, appropriate for all ages and skill. From the fast-paced fun of Tube Town to the romantic hand-in-hand skating that Brewer’s Pond offers, Silver Star proudly captures the true essence of the classic ski resort.

What's New For 2011/12
New for the 2011/12 season, Silver Star is proud to introduce several key elements, each certain to provide a more enjoyable visit to the resort. Visitors can expect to experience the benefits of the following:
- New Heli-Skiing - Silver Star Mountain Resort and Eagle Pass Heli-‐Skiing have joined forces to open up the Gold Range in the Monashee Mountains for guests of the resort. A Bell 212 helicopter will take 10 skiers and two guides to untracked powder. Pick up some tips by taking a few powder lessons from our world class Snowsport School before heading up into the air for the thrill of a lifetime. The helicopter will be based out of the village, which will make this a tempting activity to all our mountain visitors.
- BC Winter Games - BC Winter Games -Bringing together young developing athletes from every region of the province, the BC Winter Games is the largest multi-sport Games in the BC and Canada. Take part or watch in awe this February as athletes compete in hockey, curling, biathlon and, alpine and freestyle skiing. Events take place in Silver Star and Vernon February 23 through 25, 2012.
- Christmas Comes To Silver Star - Last year the 12 days of Christmas Celebration at the Snowbird Lodge was a huge success so we’ve brought it back with some additions! Starting December 14 it runs right up to Christmas Day with decoration making, movies, and a visit from Santa! Perfect for families, and those simply young at heart. Enjoy fireworks and a torchlight parade before you settle down by the fireside, with no other than Santa Claus himself. Drink hot chocolate and snack on cookies as Santa gives you a little present. A great start to the Christmas celebrations!
- Wine & Dine - Imagine a day skiing champagne powder, followed by a glass of bubbly. Silver Star’s Wine and Dine will return for a second year of delectable wines and tasty treats. The weekend of wine tasting, incredible food, seminars and activities will take place March 9 through 11, 2012.
- Après Antics - Silver Star is ripping it up ‘old school’ style this season by offering some of the all-‐time best ski movies at the Saloon. You can also join us for a game of Mountain Bingo, a bit of a twist on the traditional format. Bring all the family every Thursday for ‘Minute to Win it’, where challengers will complete in simple games and challenges in exchange for great prizes! To finish the season off they will be celebrating with a retro themed weekend of fun. Drinks specials and prizes will be abundant throughout the season!

| Horse-drawn Sleigh Ride | |
| To complete the magical feel that Silver Star is known for, guests board a horse-drawn sleigh and tour through the frosty landscape and deep powder surrounding the resort. Lasting anywhere from 20 minutes to a full hour, this charming tour is available seven days a week. | |
